Victoria Beckham, a regular on lists of the best-dressed celebrities, is following the lead of her famous footballer husband and stripping down to her designer underwear for an advertising campaign.
Emporio Armani on Wednesday said Beckham, who came to fame as “Posh Spice” in the British pop group the Spice Girls, will model underwear for the company in an advertising campaign set to roll out in spring next year.
“Victoria is a style icon, a dynamic lady whose influence and recognition will add great excitement to the continued international growth of our Emporio Armani women’s underwear business,” Giorgio Armani, the Italian designer at the head of the company, said in a statement.
She joins her husband, British soccer star David Beckham, who was the focus of a similar Armani underwear campaign this past summer that caused a stir among his fans.
