Selena Gomez would not only play the lead in the film but she would also act as producer.

MTV News reports that before she can start on The Sky is Everywhere, Gomez is set to shoot Spring Breakers and possibly film a movie called Hot Mess.

When speaking to MTV News about her projects going into 2012, Justin Bieber’s girlfriend said she wanted to stick to the same policy as her successful 2011.

“I feel like this approach of this year, I wasn’t expecting any of the things that happened,” she said. “And so I just kind of want to go into the end of this year and the beginning of next year just excited and in a good place and not planning anything.”

Selena Gomez is also set to star in the Harmony Korine film, “Spring Breakers” alongside another former Disney star, Vanessa Hudgens. (Emma Roberts and James Franco also star.) Selena called the movie “very dark and very different.”

Justin Bieber’s girl friend is preparing to visit the war-torn Democratic Republic of the Congo as part of her humanitarian work for the United Nations Children’s Fund, or UNICEF.

Selena Gomez has been a UNICEF ambassador for two years, and has visited Ghana and Chile in a bid to raise awareness of the organization’s work with children.

Selena Gomez spoke about her upcoming visit the war-torn Congo at her UNICEF benefit show at the House of Blues in West Hollywood on Jan. 20. “We first went to Ghana and then we went to Chile,” Gomez told E! reporters. “In April, we’re going to go somewhere a little harder, the Congo… The first trips were to ease me into it.”

The two snaps were posted on her account, showing a guy and a girl – presumably Bieber and Gomez, lying down wearing next to nothing and the other of them holding hands.

The pictures were quickly deleted from the account and it’s unclear whether the 18-year-old starlet’s account had been hacked with lookalike shots.

Lovebirds Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez weren’t shy about packing on the PDA earlier this week at a smoothie bar in Anaheim, Calif. The Biebs, 17, pushed Gomez, 19, up against a fridge to give her a kiss.

According to E! Online, Gomez scrapped two Christmas-themed shows on Saturday and Sunday (17th-18th December) in Chicago and Seattle, citing a ‘family emergency’ as her reason.

Selena Gomez had taken to Twitter last month to share the good news that her 35-year-old mother and stepfather Brian Teefey were expecting their first child together.

“Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news… My mommys carrying my baby brother or sister I’m the happiest girl in the world!” she twittered on Nov. 25.

As for her own yet-to-be formulated fragrance, Gomez, 19, explains, “I want it to be really romantic. I want it to be sweet and sophisticated.”

To pick the final potion, the “Hit the Lights” singer is enlisting her fans’ help on selenagomezperfumes.com.

“I’m creating the base of the scent and I’m inviting my fans to pick the top notes. Then we’ll pick the top 10 fans and they’ll come into the lab with me and help me pick the final scent,” she says.

Looking holiday ready in a cute little red and white frock, the 19-year-old singer/actress tweeted upon arriving in town, “Hi Sacramento, I like your leaves and breeze..”

Earlier in the concert, Ms. Swift also brought out her friend and fellow pop star Selena Gomez to sing Ms. Gomez’s hit “Who Says.” Ms. Swift said the appearance marked the first time the pair had ever sang on stage together.

The pair wowed the crowds as they arrived and departed the event in a white vintage Packard Super 8 which was often used by Hollywood’s finest in the 1930s and 1940s.

Dressed as if they had just walked off the set of Bugsy Malone, the sweethearts channeled Hollywood’s most glamorous era as they hit the red carpet at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles..

Justin was a real dapper gent and wore a black tuxedo with a bow tie.

The 17-year-old sported a new slicked back hairstyle to complete his 1920s look.

The singer wore a short ivory tulle and ribbon design by Marchesa. The short dress featured a sheer back and small tiny back buttons. The dress included intricate ribbon work which was bordered at the bottom with tulle. The front had a soft ruffle.

Gomez added metallic platform peep toe shoes to complete her look.
