Synopsis: While architect Alex Hurst (Guy Pearce) and his new girlfriend Kim (Katie Holmes) restore their Gothic mansion’s period interiors, Alex’s young daughter Sally (Bailee Madison) can investigate the macabre history and dark corners of the estate. Spurring Sally’s investigation are the voices-rasping whispers who call out to her from the basement, who promise her understanding and friendship, who are so very hungry and would like to be set free. When Sally gives in to her curiosity, she opens a gateway into a hellish underworld from which an army of beady-eyed, sharp-clawed monsters emerge, small in size but endless in number. Confronted with the horror that now threatens to taker her life and destroy her family, Sally desperately tries to warn the whole house, but there’s just one problem: no one believes her.

The “slutty pumpkin” character was first mentioned on the series’ first season in 2005 but never revealed.

The previously mentioned pumpkin hooked up with the series lead character, Ted Mosby (played by Josh Radnor), in 2001, prior to when the episode took place. Ted liked the girl but apparently lost her number, so he waited at the same Halloween party every year dressed in the same costume — a hanging chad (a reference to the 2000 Presidential election) — hoping the “slutty pumpkin” would return. At the end of the episode, Ted finally gave up his search for the elusive pumpkin.

In a sneak peak video of Monday’s episode, Ted finally reunites with the pumpkin. He introduces her to Barney Stinson (played by Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin Scherbatsky (played by Cobie Smulders).

Holmes’ character then says, “I’m gonna go make some tootsie rolls. It’s a drink I invented. There’s a song and dance that goes along with it, but I have to drink three of them before I can do it.”

After she leaves, Barney says, “Sounds delicious in theory, but you never know until you taste it. Ted, have you tasted her.

Synopsis: April Burns is a wild, 21-year-old young woman with a very big problem. Against her own better judgment, she’s invited her estranged, straightlaced family for Thanksgiving dinner. Her boyfriend, Bobby, wants to help, but she banishes him from the apartment while she attempts to cook the meal. To make matters worse, she then discovers that her oven doesn’t work. So, while April is forced to ask her eccentric neighbors for help in cooking her fifteen pound turkey, the Burns Family begins a reluctant journey from suburban Pennsylvania toward New York City’s Lower East Side. April’s Dad, Jim Burns tries to convince the family that the day will be beautiful. However, her mom, Joy, has her doubts and freely voices them. April’s teenage sister and brother are squeezed between Grandma Dottie, and a bag of snacks in the back seat, as the Burns’ family car hurtles toward Manhattan–and what will most likely be disaster.

In the accompanying article saying Katie talks about her parenting philosophy for her five-year-old daughter, “I try to just talk everything through (with Suri) so I’m not missing anything, so I can try to help. As parents you try every day, but it’s still a mystery. You’re learning on the job. You love that person so much that you don’t want to screw it up.”

“Katie still feels inadequate when it comes to Hollywood. She thinks she’s only where she is because she’s married to Tom Cruise.

“Her view, however wrong, seems to be that getting super-thin is the only way to win more movie roles.”

“What I want for her is to follow her heart and just be happy so I don’t mind what she does.

“Tom and I will always support and encourage her but it’s too early to even imagine what she might become. She does have great taste and loves dressing up so you never know – she may do something with that.”
