Ciara dreams of collaborating with Janet Jackson because the pop star’s songs were the only music she listened to while growing up.

The Goodies hitmaker has idolised Jackson since she was a youngster – and she’s hoping one day her hero will agree to team up for a duet, reports pr-inside.

Ciara explains, “My dream is to collaborate with Janet Jackson. She was my big idol growing up. JJ is amazing and no matter what, you can’t forget what she has contributed to American music.
“Janet is truly an icon. She was the only person I listened to as a kid, along with her big brother Michael.”

Janet Jackson said on Monday she will hit the road for the first time in seven years with the Canadian launch in September of her “Rock Witchu” arena tour through North America.

Jackson, 42, revealed plans for her upcoming concert series during an appearance on the television talk show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, saying, “I can’t wait.”

The U.S.-Canadian outing will open September 7 in Vancouver, British Columbia, with subsequent dates scheduled for New York and Washington, D.C., according to a spokesman for concert promoter Live Nation, which is organizing the tour.
