Natalie Portman has been cast as the female lead in “Thor,” Marvel Studios’ adaptation of its comic book featuring the Norse god of thunder. Kenneth Branagh is directing.

The Academy-award nominated actress will play the nurse, Jane Foster, who becomes Thor’s first love.
Filming is set to begin in early 2010 for a May 20, 2011 release , distributed by Paramount Pictures.

The new poster for Megan Fox’s upcoming horror flick, Jennifer’s Body has hit the web.

The poster shows the 23-year-old star sitting seductively on top of a school desk that has a severed hand peeking out.

In the movie, Fox plays a possessed high school cheerleader on a male killing spree.

“Scream” creator Kevin Williamson is re-writing his screenplay after Neve Campbell refused to sign on.

Director Wes Craven recently revealed Courteney Cox and her husband David Arquette were set to participate and they were trying to get Campbell to take on the role of Sidney Prescott for a fourth time.

Now Williamson has to go back to the drawing board.

He told NYPost.com’s PopWrap blog, “I’ve had numerous conversations with Neve. She’s a friend. Nicest girl on the planet. It just ain’t workin’ out and it sucks for me. It was no cameo. I’d never play Sid out that way. And I ain’t got no Sid-less scenario. So, I don’t know yet what to do.”
