The actress was taken to a hospital in late January after she “smoked something” and began “shaking” and “convulsing,” according to a 911 call placed from her home. Moore is being treated for “exhaustion and to improve her overall health,” her rep said in a statement.

Paramedics responded to the 47-year-old actress’s home in L.A. after a 911 call came in at 10:45 p.m. TMZ reports the hospitalization was due to substance abuse.

In a recent news, Demi Moore has pulled out of the movie “Lovelace,” according to a source close to the production, even as stories and rumors swirled about what led to her decision to seek professional assistance for what her rep on Tuesday called “exhaustion” and “her overall health.”

Moore was to have played Gloria Steinem in the film, about “Deep Throat” actress Linda Lovelace. A replacement has not been announced.

The bigger situation could be serious: Though the allegations are unconfirmed, TMZ cited a source who said Moore had a reaction Monday night to “whip-its” — a type of nitrous oxide inhalant — and a Radar Online source said that in addition to substance abuse issues, the actress was being treated for anorexia.

According to the HollywoodReporter.com, Moore has joined the cast of the Linda Lovelace biopic, which is currently filming in Los Angeles. In the based-on-a-true-story movie, Amanda Seyfried plays the “Deep Throat” porn star who later denounced her participation in the film, claiming that her then-husband Chuck Traynor forced her to do it at gunpoint. Traynor will be played in the film by Peter Sarsgaard.

According to MSN.com, Demi Moore posted some ultra sexy bikini photos of her 47-year-old bod onto her Daily Booth photoblog on the 15th of August. The commentary Moore posted along with the pictures was “Maybe this is more like summer!” There were two photos posted which showed Demi in a snakeskin or polka dotted bikini with tie straps.

He tweeted: “9 hrs into the master cleanse. I want a steak, a beer, and a blow-pop. Hmmm this is gonna be rough (sic).”

The plan – which is also known as the Maple Syrup diet – involves consuming nothing but a concoction of water, lemon, maple syrup and cayenne pepper and was famously used by Beyonce Knowles to slim down for her role in ‘Dreamgirls’.

While Ashton is struggling, Demi is faring slightly better.

On Sunday (11.12.10), she tweeted: “2nd day of master cleanse and off to hike with hubby and the dogs. 2nd day better than the 1st! (sic).”

However, while many followers use the diet to lose weight – as the daily calorie consumption can be as low as 600 a day – Demi insists she’s not doing it for that reason.

She said: “This is about health!!!”

When one of Demi’s followers tweeted about the miserable side-effects when her own husband tried out the plan, the ‘Ghost’ star replied: “That’s Y we R doing it 2gether! (sic).”
