Christina Aguilera feels about all of the criticism she has been getting for her weight gain over the last year, the star admits she’s comfortable with her body.

“I’ve been through my highs, I’ve been through my lows; I’ve been through the gamut of all things in this business. Being too thin. Being bigger. I’ve been criticized for being on both sides of the scale,” she tells Marie Claire.

The February issue of Marie Claire will hit the shelves on January 17th. Christina will return as a coach on ‘The Voice’ which will premiere it’s second season after the Super Bowl on February 5th.

The songstress, her major cleavage and silver skin-tight mini instantly received backlash on blogs and Twitter, sparking speculation that the 30-year-old, who’s already a mom to one, may be pregnant.

The 30-year-old covered up in black opaque tights, a flouncy black skirt worn high around her waist and an ivory long-sleeved tie-neck blouse at a press junket for “The Voice.”

A simple, half-up, half-down hairstyle completed her conservative ensemble, which was a complete 180 from her usual, gussied up getups of fishnet stockings, hot pants, and skin-baring tops.

On Halloween, Aguilera teamed up with her ex-husband Jordan Bratman to take their three-year-old son Max out for trick-or-treating in L.A. where the mom kept it casual black skinny jeans, boots and a loose-fitting sweater adorned with a skull and crossbones. (Meanwhile Max toughened up in a medieval soldier costume.)

The “Moves Like Jagger” songstress was accompanied by boyfriend Matt Rutler, as the pair exited their hotel while heading over to The Box Nightclub and Cabaret in Soho for a little evening entertainment.

The sighting comes as Christina is in the midst of recording with Madonna for the Material Girl’s LP, while reports tell that Aguilera has also just recently hired a vocal coach ahead of beginning of putting material together for an album of her own.

As for her choice in a mentor, the 30-year-old is said to have opted on Seth Riggs – who has previously worked with stars including Whoopi Goldberg, Michael Jackson, Ray Charles and Josh Groban, among others.

Both are nominated in the female music artist category and for favorite movie actress in a comedy or musical — Aguilera for “Burlesque” and Gomez for “Monte Carlo.” Aguilera was also nominated for reality TV personality for her work on “The Voice.” Gomez is up for favorite TV actress in a comedy for “Wizards of Waverly Place,” which was nominated for favorite TV series alongside “CSI: Miami,”"Desperate Housewives” and “Modern Family.”

Jennifer Lopez and “Glee” star Naya Rivera are each double nominees. Both are up for female music artist. Lopez is also nominated in the reality TV category for “American Idol” and Rivera is nominated for favorite TV actress in a comedy for “Glee.”

The nominees for favorite movie will be announced Aug. 22.

Christina Aguilera drops in on Jay Leno, and says tales of her divorce, forgetting lyrics and stumbling is all part of advice she gives on NBC’s new series, “The Voice.”

In a press call this morning, Christina elaborated on her recent shout out to Brit, in which she tweeted support for Femme Fetale:

“At this point in the game, I think it’s important to show support … especially for female artists.”

She went on to say the two are “old friends” going way back to their Mickey Mouse Club days.

Christina also had kind words for Jennifer Hudson recently, tweeting:

“How incredible does @IAMJHUD look and have you checked out her album? Yes GIRL!”

When asked about her own ups and downs (such as her detainment for public intoxication), she expressed how her positive outlook will help contestants on her new show, The Voice, by saying that everybody can learn from their mistakes — and pass that knowledge on to others.

It seems fitting then, that she’s one of four judge slash mentors on NBC’s upcoming singing contest. Not only are the judges on hand to pick new talent, they they’re also tasked with personally guiding them through the process. She is teamed with Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Cee-Lo Green — who, it was revealed today — will all also perform a number together on the show.

Christina also explained how The Voice differs from American Idol and other televised singing contests by revealing that they do not actually see the contestants the first time they sing. The selection process is based solely on their singing voice. Only after the judges have heard them perform do they decide if their talent is worthy of moving on in a blind vote.

The Voice debuts April 26 on NBC.

Pint-sized Christina, whose weight frequently fluctuates, was appearing at a press conference for her new reality show The Voice in Los Angeles.

Christina Aguilera was unable to make it off the stage without something going awry. At the end of the performance, she took a slight tumble. Maybe the concentration required to get the lyrics to Franklin’s “Ain’t No Way” right left her vulnerable to motor control malfunctions.
