“Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin’s daughter Bindi, now eight years old, is carrying on her father’s legacy as an ambassador of Nature. The young Irwin is shooting a 26-part wildlife documentary show, “Bindi, The Jungle Girl,” set to hit the airwaves in January 2007.
The accident in September 2006, where the much loved Steve Irwin was killed in an unusual stingray barb attack off the coast of Queensland, Australia, occurred while he was filming a segment for his daughter’s new show.

In the first interview since her father’s death, Bindi told Australia’s ABC network, “I’m trying to get across the message that don’t be afraid of animals, they’re just put on this earth to help the environment and everything like that.”
Scenes filmed before her father’s death will be inter cut with her appearances. John Stainton, Steve’s manager explained, “We’ll never refer to the fact that Steve is no longer with us. The way it works is that Steve plays co-star to Bindi.” Bindi will be reacting to her Dad’s antics.
Stainton says, “this little girl is very much enjoying what she’s doing. She is in control.” [Prime Celebrity Tips Network]
