A young and arachnophobic, Sharon Stone, was such a diva during filming of ‘Deadly Blessing’, she demanded a tarantula that appeared on set with her have it’s pincers removed, it was reported.

Ernest Borgnine, who co-starred in the 1981 Wes Craven flick with Stone, 50, claims: ‘Sharon wanted the spider’s pincers removed… Since someone from the ASPCA might be reading, let’s just skip what happened next.’

Animal rights group PETA condemned the alleged amputation, saying: ‘She chose to make a tiny insect an amputee. Perhaps she should change her name legally to ‘Heart of Stone.”
