Salma Hayek will go in front of the cameras for a multi-episode story arc on “Ugly Betty,” ABC’s new hit comedy, the network announced on Monday.
The show is based on the world’s most popular telenovela, “Yo Soy Betty La Fea.”
Hayek, who executive produces the series, will make her first guest starring appearance in the November 2 episode called “Trust, Lust, and Must.”
She’ll appear in three more episodes throughout the month of November.
In her role, Hayek will play Sofia Reyes, a newcomer to the Mode scene who will leave a lasting impression on Daniel Meade (Eric Mabius) and Betty Suarez (America Ferrera).
The most-watched new TV show of the 2006-07 season, “Ugly Betty” was picked up for a full season order, Stephen McPherson, president of ABC Entertainment announced last week.
