Jewel Kilcher Tweets Her Bikini Bod!

Jewel Kilcher is a singer. And today Jewel the singer is using Twitter to send us a boast card from a boat somewhere sunny. There are no paparazzi to withstand, so Jewel goes native and sends us the pictures of her free spirits.

Jewel’s family has a lasting appreciation of boats:

My name is Jewel. Jewel Kilcher. (Yes, Jewel is my real given name). I am 5?6”. I have green eyes, like my grandmother Ruth. Ruth was an aspiring opera singer who left pre-war Germany, got on a ship headed to Alaska to marry a man she hardly knew because she felt her future children must be born somewhere free.

Another time:

I earned enough money to get on a ferry and cross the Sea of Cortez and take trains through central Mexico.

Later:

I drifted after I graduated.

Now you can get to imagine what Granny Jewel endured as you gaze upon Jewel in a bikini, on a boat, somewhere

Beyonce Knowles Helps Audience Member Put A Ring On It

BeyonceKnowlesperformancepics2009BETAwardsinLA2.jpg

RadarOnline.Com reportedly, just one night after winning the BET award for Best Female R&B Video of the Year for “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” Sasha Fierce was all the way across the country putting on an energetic show that proves why she’s one of today’s top performers. And while that’s no surprise to her fans, there was one surprise when well into the show she was singing her hit “Put a Ring On It” and suddenly stopped. The stage lights went out until Beyonce said, “I need a light” and she was illuminated with a spotlight.

“I’m not sure if production knows about this,” she told the audience, “but Lindell has something he wants to sing.” She handed the microphone to a man in the audience, who instead of singing, said: “Beyonce, you told me if I like it, I need to put a ring on it.”

He then dropped to one knee, produced a ring and asked his stunned girlfriend to marry him, in front of the sellout crowd of 20,000+. His girlfriend, seemingly in shocked, nodded yes, the couple hugged and kissed and the crowd, of course, cheered wildly.

Ashley Tisdale Talks Michael Jackson’s Influence

“High School Musical” star Ashley Tisdale is still stunned by Michael Jackson’s unexpected death last week.

Ashley Tisdale told MTV News that Jackson was a big influence on her music and the work of her “HSM” castmates.

“I’ve loved Michael Jackson, his music, his music videos,” Tisdale said. “I mean, the man made music videos what they are today. So, I’ve always been inspired by him. I think he’s such a great dancer.

“It was definitely a shock,” she added of Jackson’s sudden passing. “It’s really hard when a celebrity dies out of nowhere, ’cause it’s very shocking … surreal.”

Tisdale was looking forward to seeing what Ortega and Jackson would be debuting on July 13, when Jackson was scheduled to kick off his This Is It tour. She said she and her “HSM” buddies were going to make the trek overseas to see it for themselves.

“We were all gonna go see him in London and go visit and watch the show,” she said, adding that the show would have also included dancers from the “HSM” movies. “We had a lot of our dancers in the production as well. I know they’re going through as really hard time as well. Hopefully, he’s in a better place now.”

“The Heroes schedule is grueling. Twelve to 14 hours a day straight,” she says. “There is no sitting down, for sometimes six or seven days a week.

“The only reason I missed meeting Michael Jackson is because on Halloween when I was supposed to go to a party that he was at, they had us working from 3pm to 7am and I missed Michael Jackson. I am so upset because I am a huge fan.”

Heath Ledger Does Vanity Fair August 2009

HeathLedgerVanityFairAugust20091.jpg

Heath Ledger, photographed exclusively for Vanity Fair by Bruce Weber in 2000, on the Prague set of A Knight’s Tale. “The day I stop having fun,” he told Kevin Sessums for the August 2000 cover story, “I’ll just walk away. There’s so much more I want to discover.”

Heath Ledger’s final days are chronicled in Peter Biskind’s cover story, “The Last of Heath,” in the August 2009 issue of Vanity Fair, on NY/LA stands July 1 and nationally July 7.

“[Heath] was ready to bust out of the gate, but he didn’t want to step on the gas and become something that he didn’t want to become: a matinee idol,” Heath’s friend and agent, Steven Alexander, told Vanity Fair. “He was a private person, and he didn’t want to share his personal history with the press. It just wasn’t up for sale. That’s part of the reason he initially tore down his career. He wasn’t motivated by money or stardom, but by the respect of his peers, and for people to walk out of a movie theater after they’d seen something that he’d worked on and say, ‘Wow, he really disappeared into that character.’ He was striving to become an ‘illusionist,’ as he called it, able to create characters that weren’t there.”

Britney Spears Has Passed Today

BritneySpearsLeggyAndSeeThruToBraOutInLA5.jpg

According to The Associated Press, hackers broke into Spears’ and DeGeneres’ Twitpic accounts and sent out fake messages, including one that said Britney was dead.

Britney has passed today,” one of the fake messages said. “It is a sad day for everyone. More news to come.

Twitpic, a Web-based messaging system that is not owned by Twitter, allows users of the micro-blogging site to share photos. Twitpic service shut down briefly on Sunday after discovering what the Charleston, South Carolina-based company called a “vulnerability” in its mobile posting service. In a note to users, Twitpic asks users to disregard the message about Spears’ alleged death and promised that the company was “implementing a fix immediately.”

The image on Spears’ Twitpic account and the associated post have been deleted, and Brit’s staff posted a message reassuring fans that she is alive and well.
