The reality TV star – who gave birth to her second child Sparrow last week – invited the ‘Boyfriend’ singer to her Hollywood home to watch the Video Music Awards on Sunday night (13.09.09).
As soon as their children – Ashlee’s 10-month-old son Bronx and Nicole’s daughter 20-month-old Harlow and newborn Sparrow – had fallen asleep, the women jumped into bed with Good Charlotte singer Joel to watch TV.
When Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)’ came on, the women started dancing wildly.
Nicole posted on her Twitter account: “We did the ‘put a ring on it’ dance from bed. I don’t think joel’s having the best time!”
She later added: “Beyonce is so good, she had me dancing from bed. I felt like I was there literally slapping a guy in the face!”
Joel was less than impressed, sending a message to Ashlee’s husband, Fall Out Boy singer’s Pete Wentz, saying: “Your wife is at my house right now. I need to leave. The mom squad is giving me s**t.”
