Mollie King

Mollie Elizabeth King (born 4 June 1987) is an English singer-songwriter. She is best known for being a member of girl group, The Saturdays. In the band, King has successfully enjoyed ten top-ten and five top-five singles on the UK Singles Chart and three top-ten albums on the UK Albums Chart. Before The Saturdays, King used to be a member of another girl group, Fallen Angelz which she appeared on The X Factor with; where she gained positive comments from the judges. King is currently signed to Fascination and Polydor Records. Not only does King use her vocals as an instrument, she plays the guitar. Before joining The Saturdays King uploaded weekly videos of her singing on YouTube, where she hoped for someone to spot her and sign her to a record label.

Before becoming a member of The Saturdays, Mollie auditioned for the British music talent show “The X Factor” (2004) as both a soloist and part of a girl group (named Fallen Angelz). Neither lead to very much success.
Like fellow band member Una Healy, King can play the guitar.
When she was younger she had a successful skiing career and went on to race for Great Britain. She was one of the youngest members on the team. She went on to ski for the British Alpine squad, but later decided that music was where her heart lied.
Has qualifications in Psychology, Business and Economics, and Sport. She achieved these despite having dyslexia.
She is known as the “posh, smiley one” of The Saturdays, causing her fellow member Francesca Sandford to give her the nickname “Miss Disney”. However, despite being considered “posh”, King is said to be extremely down to earth and fun loving with an upbeat view of life.
