Miley Cyrus at 52nd Annual Grammy Awards
The original LOL, starring Sophie Marceau, debuted in theaters in 2008 and went on to gross over $20 million, according to Variety. Lisa Azuelos, who wrote and directed the original, will also write and direct the English remake.
LOL would add to the growing list of Cyrus’ screen credits. She will also appear in the recently wrapped film The Last Song.
