Madonna is set to be launched into space as a guest on Russia’s first tourist shuttle.
The singer revealed her dream to visit space when her ‘Confessions’ world tour arrived in Moscow this week, and she has now been invited on the maiden launch, scheduled for 2009.
A Russian Space Agency spokesman said: “Schedules for the flights of so-called space tourists have been approved.
“Madonna’s request will definitely not meet any objections and her representatives can approach us. We hope she’ll be on a flight by 2009.”
An insider said: “We are so excited to add Madonna to our list of space tourists. She’s a great singer and we are sure she will add something to the flight.” [Source]
