Madonna and Guy Ritchie are reportedly planning to renew their wedding vows to celebrate getting their marriage back on track after a troubled few years.
The couple married in a lavish ceremony at Skibo Castle in Scotland in December 2000 but are now planning to repeat their vows in a ceremony at their Wiltshire estate this summer.
A source told the News of the World that friend Stella McCartney has been asked to design Madonna’s outfit for the event, Gwyneth Paltrow will do a reading and the couple will exchange eternity rings.
The source explained: “Renewing their vows is the one way Guy and Madonna can show the world they are strong.â€
“They’ve worked hard to iron out their differences to get through the tough times.â€
“It’s going to be a very emotional day and that’s why they want the people who are closest to them to share it with them.â€
“They know a strong marriage takes constant effort and that they’re in it for the long haul.â€
