Lindsay Lohan is being sued for assault and negligence by a passenger in the car she allegedly chased while drunk last month.
Tracie Rice filed the lawsuit at Los Angeles County Superior Court yesterday, claiming the ‘Mean Girls’ actress “put me through one of the most frightening experiences of my life”.
Rice said: “What Miss Lohan did that night was extremely dangerous and reprehensible.
“Someone could easily have been killed or seriously hurt because of her irresponsible decisions that evening.”
Lindsay Lohan, 21, was arrested last month on suspicion of DUI (driving under the influence) after chasing a car driven by Michelle Peck, the mother of Lohan’s assistant. Rice was a passenger in Peck’s vehicle.
The lawsuit claims Peck was so terrified at being chased by Lohan that she drove through a barricade and into a parking lot near the Santa Monica Police Station.
Rice claims she jumped out of the Cadillac Escalade and ran toward police officers and saw a woman, who turned out to be Lohan, run from another vehicle towards her.
Three men have claimed Lohan took them hostage in the car she was driving.
Lindsay Lohan – who is currently being treated at Utah’s Cirque Lodge rehabilitation facility – faces charges of DUI, possession of cocaine, transporting a narcotic into a custody facility and driving on a suspended licence.
