Lady Gaga was confirmed to make her acting debut as part of the cast of the highly anticipated sequel to the 2010 Robert Rodriguez cult classic Machete.

Lady Gaga will join with other “Machete Kills” stars like Amber Heard, Mel Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez.

Gaga’s one sheet was also released today, the singer/song writer will reportedly play La Chameléon, a sexy assassin who rocks out with a wolf’s fur and silenced pistols.

The film’s director confirmed the news by tweeting; “I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills, she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!”

Gaga replied with her own Tweet; “Yes it’s true, I will be making my debut as an actress ln the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane.”

The film is slated for release in 2013.
