Katy Perry, 23, sings the lyrics “I kissed a girl and I liked it” in her smash hit single I Kissed a Girl — but she is certain that women aren’t to her taste, and she is happy with her boyfriend.

She says, “I have kissed a girl, but I’m not a lesbian. I have a boyfriend. I just didn’t want to sing another typical relationship song. Nobody told me to sing the song.

“It wasn’t done for anyone else’s satisfaction. People have sung about all sorts of things in pop. Look at Prince and Madonna.”

Katy Perry is currently dating Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy.
