Katharine Hope McPhee (born March 25, 1984) is an American pop singer, songwriter, actress, model, and television personality. She gained fame as a contestant on the fifth season of the Fox reality show American Idol in 2006, eventually finishing as the runner-up.

Daughter of singer and vocal coach Peisha Arten and Daniel McPhee.
Lives in California.
Roommates with fellow idol contestant Kellie Pickler.
She sang “Since I Fell for You”, “All in Love is Fair”, and “Think” to advance to the top 12 of “American Idol: The Search for a Superstar” (2002).
