2009 is surely turning into an eventful year for Kate Winslet. After winning an Oscar, her first after six nominations, two Golden Globes, and a Bafta, the British actress has been offered a spot on the cover of Playboy magazine.

Magazine mogul Hugh Hefner had revealed he would love to have the The Reader star join previous posers including Marilyn Monroe, Sharon Stone, Pamela Anderson and Charlize Theron.

Hefner told a newspaper: “There’s no question we would be interested in Kate. It’s a competitive market, more than it used to be, so she would be a most welcome addition in our pages,” reports The Sun.

Winslet has in the past appeared stark naked in many of her movies, including The Reader, for which she won the Best Actress Oscar. But she has previously sworn not to repeat her clothes-dropping act in future for fear of being typecast.

“This is not a proposal that would interest her,” Contactmusic quoted her spokesperson as saying.
