According to celebrity website TMZ, whose cameraman was involved in the incident and filmed most of it, West rushed towards the photographer and grabbed a camera. A struggle followed and West allegedly took the camera and threw it to the ground.

“The assistant then is alleged to have grabbed the camera, ripped off the mic and viewfinder and smashed it to the ground.”

The video starts mid-confrontation, and does not show how it began or what might have caused it to escalate.
