Jordan Nathaniel Marcel Knight (born May 17, 1970) is an American singer-songwriter best known as the lead singer in the boy band, New Kids on the Block (NKOTB), and actor, who rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s. He is best known for his distinctive falsetto style of singing, influenced by The Stylistics. After New Kids On The Block disbanded, Jordan launched a solo career. Jordan’s first solo album released in 1999 and his latest solo album released in 2011 reached the Top 50 on the US Billboard 200. As of 2011, he released four Top 40 singles; the most well known being “Give It To You” in 1999. He has released three studio albums, one remix album and one EP. Jordan had sold over 1.5 million records worldwide as a solo artist. On May 31, 2011 he released a new studio album, titled “Unfinished” which became his first Top 10 Independent Album Release.

He is the youngest son of Allan Knight and Marlene Putnam. Brother of Jonathan Knight. Other siblings: David, Sharon, Allison, and Chris.

In 1990, he was chosen by People Magazine as one of the “50 Most Beautiful People in the World”.
Was a member of “New Kids On The Block” from 1984-94.
Wore clear braces on his teeth for two years while in New Kids on the Block.
Wore a black rubber bracelet for good luck since he was a teenager and still wore it when New Kids on the Block disappeared between 1992-1993. It was not known when the bracelet was removed or whether it broke or he got tired of it. The rubber ring was originally used inside toilets and later on in the 1980s they became fashion for boys and girls.
Has occasional issues with panic attacks just like his brother Jonathan, which they had inherited from their father, Allan. They both appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2001 to talk about it.
Appeared on the British show ‘Trust Me – I’m A Holiday Rep’ where he had to train and work as a holiday rep in Ayia Napa.
While touring the world with New Kids on the Block, he collected hotel room keys as mementos.
His father, Allan, is an Episcopal priest.
Second son, Eric Jacob Knight, was born on February 21, 2007, weighing 7 pounds, 5 ounces.
During the taping of The Sureal Life: Fame Game (2006) he learned that his grandmother had passed away and as a result he had to take himself out of Fame Game.
