The Jonas Brothers play a softball game in their hometown of New Jersey, and make their girl fans scream!!! Whoaaa!
The group’s surprise visit to Brockton drew more than 1,000 fans, mostly preteen and teenage girls with their parents.
“I was, like, shocked that they would come to Brockton,” said Lois Alksninis, 17, of Brockton, who had received the Twitter message at 10 a.m. Saturday. “No one ever comes here.”
Girls screamed wildly throughout the game for the brothers Kevin, Joe and Nick, who each got several at-bats.
At one point the crowd erupted into cheers when Kevin Jonas hit a single and knocked in a run. Another time, when Nick Jonas hit an infield popup for an out, one girl could be heard shouting, “It’s OK Nick, we still love you.”
Seating for the event was kept separate from the celebrities’ dugout. But some fans with VIP passes crowded near the dugout, shouting “Hi” to the brothers and snapping digital photographs.
