Jessica Simpson Sing On “Today” Show

…but Jessica Simpson’s voice cracks…

Jessica Simpson sang for the first time since busting a blood vessel in her vocal cord and made it through one song before her voice cracked.

Simpson gave a concert on NBC’s Today show. Things started out OK. She made it through her first song sounding only a little scratchy. But when it came time to hit a high note on her second song, her voice cracked, she stopped singing for a moment and said “all right, I tried.” She did finish the song.

 

 

Her speaking voice is still very raspy and she’s been drinking a nasty-looking concoction that her vocal coach made up for her.

Simpson promises to make up all the events she’s had to cancel to promote her new CD, A Public Affair, which dropped today. Source
