Jessica Simpson has recently attempted a Lindsay Lohan style ‘modern-meets-classic’ photo shoot, with bemusing results.
Jessica Simpson has re-created a famous Esquire cover shoot originally concieved by legendary art director George Lois, which spoofed the womens lib movement in the 60’s.
The orginal photo featured Italian actress Virna Lisi with cream on her face, shaving.
“I spoofed the upcoming woman’s movement by slapping shaving cream on the beautiful blonde Italian actress Virna Lisi [because] no American beauty had the [bleeps] to pose for it.” Lois said of his original vision.
The Jessica Simpson recreation, however, has left many confused as to what it all means.
Part of Lohan’s sucessful shoot, which recreated iconic images of Marylin Monroe, was due to the fact that she did it partially nude.
