Hilary Duff is following in the footsteps of Paris Hilton and Pamela Anderson
Singer and actress Hillary Duff is set to showcase her writing skills by penning books for youngsters.
The 22-year-old star will work on a series of novels for young adults with publishers at Simon & Schuster, Contactmusic reported.
This is Duff’s first brush with the world of writing as her first book ‘Elixir’, is scheduled to be published in October this year and will feature the harrowing adventures of International photojournalist Clea Raymond.
The ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’ actress who has written about her own parents’ separation in songs ‘Stranger’ and ‘Gypsy Woman’, also plans to write a non-fiction book about children coping with divorce which is scheduled for a 2012 release.
Says Duff, “I’ve always loved the escape of a great book, especially one that features a strong, inspiring female character you feel you really understand, someone who could be you, but living a more fascinating life. I’m hoping Elixir will be that kind of book-a novel that will transport readers and open new worlds for them.”
