Here’s your sneak peek of Hayley Williams, Paramore’s Lead Vixen, on the cover of Cosmopolitan’s May edition.

On finding her inner sexiness: “I would be put on these lists of sexiest musicians, and I would cringe. I didn’t see myself that way, and I certainly would have never dreamed I could be a Cosmo cover girl…Eventually I just decided that sexiness comes in a lot of forms. I’m not a blond bombshell, but I can still be sexy. I think interesting is attractive too.”
On dealing with mean girls: “I was new and it was like that movie Mean Girls. The clique would tease me and make up rumors about me being gay… so we decided I would be homeschooled.”
On her tomboy appearance: “I just wanted to be a dude right then, because I didn’t want everyone focusing on me being the token girl singer. I wanted them looking at the band.”
On being famous: “I’m not the type of person who’s going to change what I like because I’m supposed to fit into this idea of what famous is.”
