Jake Gyllenhaal threw Reese Witherspoon a 33rd birthday bash at his Los Angeles home on Saturday.

According to Us MagazineReese Witherspoon spent her actual birthday, Sunday, at the Los Angeles premiere of her new animated flick, Monsters vs. Aliens.

“I’m looking forward to my birthday,” she recently told reporters at a press conference for the film. “I think it is a great thing, to be able to be doing things with my kids and having them be proud of me. It’s like, what’s better than feeling you’ve accomplished things in life?”
