Dominic Edward Cooper (born 2 June 1978) is an English actor. He has worked in TV, film, theatre and radio, in productions including Mamma Mia!, The Duchess, and The History Boys.

Trained professionally at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art
Nominated for the Drama Desk Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play in 2006 for the role of Dakin in the Broadway production of Alan Bennett’s “The History Boys.”
Attended the Thomas Tallis School in Kidbrooke.
Replaced Orlando Bloom in An Education.
Auditioned for the role of Fandral in Thor.
Auditioned for the role of Anton in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, but lost out to Andrew Garfield.
Currently dating Amanda Seyfried his co-star in Mama Mia (2008).
Shares a house with James Corden who he co-starred with in The History Boys (2006).
