Diane Kruger also told the magazine about how hard it was to convince Quentin Tarantino that she was German enough to be cast in ‘Inglourious Basterds.’

“You know how it is,” she said. “Sometimes filmmakers get hung up on something. I basically had to fly to Germany and show him my passport.”
