First Elle got herself a February 2012 magazine cover, for Teen Vogue. Now big sis Dakota has landed the February 2012 cover of Elle UK, meaning Fanning Domination on both sides of the pond.

Shot by David Slijper, Dakota’s cover is more mature than Elle’s, which shows the 13-year-old with light makeup and a wide smile.

Clad in spring 2012 Louis Vuitton, the budding young fashion plate stares out from the cover with one hand to her cherry red lips as if to say, “don’t you wish your girlfriend was 17 like me?” Of course, the correct answer to that question is “no I do not, and please stop looking at me like that immediately, young lady.”

Dakota recently chatted with another mag, Teen Vogue, about her younger sister, Elle’s fashion evolution.

“It’s funny, ’cause when you’re an older sister, you try to be the leader and example, and I’ve recently had to accept that we’re equals,” Dakota dished. “The day has come when I actually need her help. I’ve had to admit that to myself and break down and be like, ‘Little sister, does this look good?’”
