Ross was born and raised in Winnetka, Illinois. Her parents are: Debbie Maxwell-Ross, a sales representative and ski instructor; and the late Peter Ross, a financial advisor (he died in 2009).[1] Charlotte has one younger brother, George, who today works as a hedge fund-analyst in New York City. “When we were little I used to beat him up,” she recalls with a laugh, “but now we’re close.”
Ross’s first on-screen performance was in My First Mouthpiece; she was 8 years old. She moved on to performing in various hometown theater productions. After graduating from New Trier High School, Charlotte moved to Los Angeles. (Her father was opposed to Charlotte’s doing the latter, but supported her anyway.) There she earned the distinction of first runner-up for the role of Kelly Bundy on Married…With Children. She lost out to Christina Applegate, but her efforts caught the attention of the Days of Our Lives producers, who cast her as Eve Baron-Donovan.
