Katie Holmes And Suri Spent The Afternoon Christmas Shopping in Hollywood

Suri Cruise, the daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, is reportedly set to be offered the chance to voice a character in a movie.

According to People magazine, movie producer Ash R Shah and his firm, The Animation Picture Company, want to make an animated film about a polar bear at Belin Zoo, named Knut.

Speaking about the project, Shah said, “I see the heartwarming relationship between Knut and his caretaker, Thomas Doerflein, at the centre of the movie… Suri [Cruise] could speak the English voice of Knut.”

Heiner Klös, curator at the Zoo Berlin said: “I can confirm that we received the offer and that we are giving it due consideration. When we have come to a decision, then we will handle the matter discreetly.”

Polar bear Knut has been raised at the zoo since his mother rejected him at birth in December 2006.

Between being husband to Katie Holmes, father to 18-month old Suri (as well as 12-year-old Connor and 14-year-old Isabella), a major movie star and co-owner of United Artists, there just isn’t much time.

“Just like everybody else, you just work it out,” Cruise tells “Entertainment Tonight” in an interview set to air Thursday. “We’ve gotten pretty good at organizing everything. I don’t sleep much anyway.”

Married life is “all very good, all very lovely,” he says, adding that he feels “lucky” to have Holmes as his wife.

“I have a lot of respect for her as an artist, as a woman,” he says. “She’s a very strong, gracious woman. She’s very funny, a great comedian.”

Cruise says working with United Artists is “kind of like film school … like a dorm with all hands on deck. We’re all very supportive and very honest.”

The 45-year-old actor also reveals he has plans to direct. “I will one day,” he says. “I’ve always wanted to. I’ve been offered things to direct but have to find the right piece.”

It’s miles away from what was on his mind during his early days in Hollywood, when he was just worried about holding onto his job: “I remember lying in bed at 18 going, `Man, I just really hope I don’t get fired.’”

The celebrity couple exchanged rings during the ceremony designed by Cartier which were made of white gold with diamonds.

Holmes’ off-the-shoulder Giorgio Armani-designed gown featured an ivory silk train adorned with Valenciennes lace and Swarovski beaded crystal embroidery.

She had on a ivory tulle floor-length veil and ivory silk shoes and carried a bouquet of flowers also designed by Armani featured calla lilies wrapped in leaves of galas and steelgrass.

Holmes’s sister and Matron of Honour, Nancy Blaylock, wore a black charmeuse, silk-layered evening dress, with an empire waist and floor length skirt.

Her off-the-shoulder neckline was made of black lace.

The best man was Cruise’s best friend David Miscavige.

The couple’s daughter, Suri, seven months, and Cruise’s children with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, Isabella, 13 and Connor, 11, were present.

According to American publication US Weekly, Connor carried Suri down the aisle who wore various layers of organza and chiffon.

According to designer Giorgio Armani, the baby’s dress was “inspired by her mother’s bridal gown.”

Following the ceremony, guests were treated to cocktails and specially prepared Italian hors d’oeuvres, followed by a multi-course meal.

At the wedding reception, which was accented with red roses, the bride wore an asymmetric champagne Giorgio Armani Prive evening dress of silk organza decorated in Swarovski crystal beads.

The couple’s five-tiered white chocolate wedding cake was decorated with marzipan roses and was studded with white chocolate chips and featured white chocolate mousse and white chocolate cream filling.

Holmes’ first dance was with her father to What A Wonderful World and that the newlyweds’ first dance was to Songbird by Fleetwood Mac.

According to US news show Entertainment Tonight, Holmes did not toss her bouquet.

The couple left Rome on Sunday for the Maldives in the Indian Ocean for their honeymoon.

The wedding party, along with guests, are then expected to attend a banquet the same day in Rome, Bracciano Mayor Patrizia Riccioni said.

For weeks rumors have focused on Odescalchi Castle in the sleepy town of Bracciano as the likely venue for the celebrity wedding. Riccioni told a news conference Thursday she had met the couple the day before somewhere outside of her town, but she would not say where.
