Selena, 17, dished in a new Disney Channel segment about her second song that was released today called “Naturally.” She shared, “I love ‘Naturally,’ it’s my dance song. It’s one of those songs that I want people to play in their car, or play at a party. It makes me really happy listening to it.”

According to Teen First, Selena Gomez has said, “Every day, 25,000 children die from preventable causes. I stand with Unicef in the belief that we can change that number from 25,000 to zero”. Her representative added, “(She has) now taken on an official role as an ambassador. She will be involved in educating, advocating, and fundraising”.

Selena Gomez, who is also involved in other charitable projects with organizations like First Book, is currently in Ghana, Africa. There, she will learn about Unicef’s child survival programs in her first official mission since her appointment. On September 3rd, she used Twitter to share the news of the trip with her followers: “Hey guys! I’m going to be in Africa for a week. Hope you guys have a great week, I can’t wait to tell you all about the trip! Love you!”

The Disney Channel star joins celebrities like Clay Aiken, Lucy Liu, Joel Madden, Alyssa Milano, Sarah Jessica Parker, Susan Sarandon, Shakira, and Liv Tyler, among others, as an ambassador for the United Nation’s Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

The quintet were among several nominees that were announced by Eva Longoria Parker at her restaurant Beso in Los Angeles this morning (August 25).

Selena as well as on-screen mom Maria Canals-Barrera nabbed Special Achievement Comedy Actress nominations, Jake for Comedy Actor and Francia for Drama Actress for her role as Adrian Lee on The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

Tour mates Demi and David were honored with Special Achievement Music nominations.

Selena Gomez and The Scene have premiered their first single, “Falling Down” off Gomez’s debut album “Kiss and Tell.” The music video for the song (have a listen to the full song below!) will debut on Friday, August 28th right after the Wizards of Waverly Place movie.

The video will feature Gomez and her band performing on a circular black stage with images projected behind them. Selena has tweeted some of the shots from her video shoot, You can check them out in the slideshow below.

Selena Gomez is busy filming her new video for “Falling Down,” and by the looks of this photo from the set, she is getting her rock on! The Wizards of Waverly Place star tweeted this snapshot last night along with the simple caption: “Pic from the video shoot! : ).”

As previously reported, Selena Gomez and the Scene’s new album is called Kiss & Tell, and the first single, “Falling Down,” will premiere on Radio Disney on August 21.

Lautner, 18, is currently shooting Twilight sequel New Moon in Vancouver, while Gomez is also working on new film Ramona and Beezus in the city.

According to Eonline.com‘s Marc Malkin, the pair took time out of their busy schedules to go on a dinner date early last week (ends24Apr09), followed by a morning coffee on Thursday (23Apr09).

A source says, “They were very low-key and kept to themselves. Nobody bothered them.”

Selena Gomez, 16, has previously been romantically linked to Jonas Brothers star Nick Jonas.

Selena Gomez has no confidence in her driving skills, and predicts it’ll be another 14 years before she gets her license.

The Disney star began the application process for a California driving license after turning 16 in July, but she admits she is put off getting behind the wheel by all the bureaucracy.

And although she’s booked to take her driving test next week, she doubts she will pass first time.

She tells People.com, “I had to take 19 tests in California! It’s the weirdest thing ever. I have to take, like, an online course, and then I have to go take my actual permit test at the DMV. So I will take that November 4, but I don’t know.

“I’m not feeling that confident about it. I’m assuming I’ll be 30 before I get my license!”
