“I can’t wait to have a baby. I’m ready and so is Marc. We’re waiting for it to happen but I guess it will happen when God wants it.”

Jennifer Lopez was promoting her newly released album ‘Como Ama Una Mujer’

A crowd of 500 gathered in front of the store to see Lopez, who was accompanied by her husband, Marc Anthony.

“I want to say thank you to everyone for coming to celebrate with me this very special day for me,” Lopez, a New Yorker of Puerto Rican origin, said in Spanish. Continuing in English, she said, “It touches my heart to be able to bring this album back to my neighborhood, back to my home.”

The album, “Como Ama una Mujer,” or “How a Woman Loves,” was released Tuesday and was mainly produced by her husband.

Lopez has said singing in Spanish has been a career-long goal of hers.

The pop singer-actress also has two Hispanic-themed films coming out this year: “Bordertown,” a film about the killings of hundreds of women in and around the city of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, and “El Cantante,” starring her husband as Puerto Rican salsa singer Hector Lavoe.

J.Lo has made it quite clear since her 2004 marriage that she would like to expand her family and have children. So far, however, she’s had little luck. There have been reports that singer/actress had miscarriage, and is receiving IVF treatments to try to help them conceive. Jennifer has denied these claims, however.

The couple still really wants to have children, and have decided that adoption may be the answer to their prayers. They’ve decided that Puerto Rico would be the best place for them to look as both of their parents were born there.

A source tells the Daily Mail:

“Jen and Marc are dying to have kids but it just doesn’t seem to be working for them. Jen realises she’s not getting any younger, so they’ve jointly decided that adoption may be the answer to their prayers. They’ve had some very serious conversations about it and have decided the best place to look is Puerto Rico as Jen and Marc’s parents were both born there.”

For now, they are checking out the various orphanages, looking for the right one. Even with their celebrity status, it will take some time for an adoption to go through. They are also hoping that Madonna’s adoption scandal will have passed by the time they are ready to adopt, as they see their adoption as a positive thing

Speculation was further fuelled when J.Lo turned up for an awards ceremony in New York looking slimmer than usual and appeared to have lost her curvy trademark derriere.

An onlooker said: “It looked like it had gone.”

The 37-year-old star has said on many occasions that having a family is one of her ambitions in life, and she has sparked pregnancy rumours on several occasions in the past.

Just months after she tied the knot with Marc in 2003, J.Lo was reported to be expecting his baby.

Earlier this year, rumours surfaced again when Lopez suddenly pulled out of the movie version of hit TV series Dallas. It was later revealed she quit the project because she was unhappy with the script.
