Gaga has admitted that she had written `Telephone` for Spears, but when the `Toxic` hitmaker rejected the song, she recorded it herself and brought new pal R&B singer Beyonce Knowles on board to give it a superstar makeover.

“I wrote it for her a long time ago and she just didn`t use it for her album. It`s fine because I love the song and I get to perform it now,” said the 23-year-old singer.

The song is a part of `Fame Monster`, the re-launched version of her debut album.

The Poker Face star has hooked up with the Crazy In Love hitmaker for the R&B singer’s latest single Video Phone.

Gaga admits she had become jaded about meeting legendary artists, but insists working with Beyonce was a different matter.
She tells MTV.com, “You know she is such a beautiful person, and I gotta tell you, I just adore her. I had kind of lost faith a little bit in meeting artists in the business – and then I met Beyonce.
“She is a real, real woman. I have never laughed so hard on a video set in my life. We had the best time doing Video Phone.”

A source said: “It sparked a war backstage as Gaga was clearly trying to upstage the biggest acts. While the likes of Beyonce Knowles kept their riders simple, Lady Gaga wanted to make a grand entrance.

“As well as a plush dressing room with all the usual demands of champagne and fluffy towels, she wanted a jungle animal.

“Her people left a list of companies which provide tamed, trained lions and a formal request was lodged with VMA organisers.”

However, the ‘Poker Face’ singer’s demands were ignored as the 23-year-old blonde walked down the red carpet alone in a dramatic long black dress with a high feather neck and black and gold eye patch.

The source added: “There were obvious health and safety concerns.”

She said: “I love Michael Bolton, and I always have. The record label called me and said, ‘Michael is doing a new album, and who better to write an ’80s love song than Lady Gaga?’I said, ‘You’re absolutely right.’

“I looked at it as an exciting opportunity, especially after I wrote ‘Just Dance’ and I was writing for other artists, everybody wanted me to write them the next ‘Just Dance.’

“It was always dance music. It was an exciting opportunity to work with someone as timeless as Michael and do a ballad. Do something that I’m really good at that I don’t get to show very much.”

She added to Newsweek magazine: “I am working on other people’s work right now. I’m always writing. I couldn’t tell you who, I like to honour the artists. Some artists don’t like other people to know they’re collaborating. So I want to be honourable and take care of the artist. When I’m a writer, it’s not about me. It’s about them.”

Lady Gaga says she wants to have sex with the whole of 1990s pop-group Take That.

The ‘Paparazzi’ singer thinks the group – consisting of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen and Jason Orange – are “sexy” and would love to get them all in the bedroom at the same time.

The 23-year-old star said: “I’d like all four at once. They’re very sexy. I’m a single girl now and I like to have a good time.”

The outrageous pop star claims she never fails to bed a man she is seriously attracted to.

She boasted: “I don’t have any crushes in particular, if I did, they’d be mine!”

Lady GaGa has spoken about her forthcoming joint headline tour with Kanye West.

GaGa told the BBC: “It’s been fun to work on the design of the tour with him – we’re finishing each other’s sentences.”

“I love Kanye. Kanye is my very dear friend and we are creative kindreds.”

She continued: “It’s going to be one of the most ground breaking moments in touring history. I am sure of it.”

Kanye has employed Daft Punk’s sci-fi inspired pyramid in his live shows before while Lady GaGa has recently been setting fire to her breasts on stage.
