Duffy is almost certain to be chosen to sing the theme song for the forthcoming new ‘James Bond’ film ‘Quantum Of Solace’, according to Nme.
The Independent quotes a source at Pinewood Studios, where the film was shot, has said that the Welsh singer is a shoo-in to bag the coveted role.
The newspaper adds that Ladbrokes bookmakers received a “very serious” bet on the singer being chosen, and have drastically cut their odds on her.
Amy Winehouse had previously been in the frame to sing the theme song, but sessions with producer Mark Ronson petered out and the pair never received an offer from the film’s producers.
Beyonce Knowles has been tipped to replace troubled Amy Winehouse in the battle to record the theme song for the new James Bond film Quantum Of Solace.
Music industry insiders say the former Destiny’s Child singer has become firm favourite after first choice Amy fell off the rails.
Quantum Of Solace is due for release on October 31.

James Bond has made his official debut here with “Casino Royale” stars Daniel Craig and Eva Green attending the first Chinese premiere of a 007 film in the franchise’s nearly 45-year history.
Director Martin Campbell joined Craig and Green, the latest “Bond girl,” at a posh Beijing cinema for the premiere Monday, a day before the film opens in more than 1,000 Chinese theatres nationwide, the biggest-ever foreign film opening in China.
“After 21 Bond films it is pretty obvious that it is very significant to be the first Bond film to be shown here,” Campbell told journalists.
Casino Royale is already the top-grossing 007 film ever, with a box-office take estimated to be in excess of 500 million dollars.
