Eva Mendes plays the “other woman” in Jada Pinkett Smith’s steamy on-screen lesbian relationship in Diane English’s all-female film “The Women,” and gets down and dirty with former model-turned-actress Natasha Alam.
“It was a lot of fun, not awkward at all,” Alam told Pop Tarts at last week’s Los Angeles premiere. “Eva is a great kisser; she gets 10 out of 10. Amazing.”
But on the topic of relationships, even after six years with boyfriend George Gargurevich, Mendes has no intention of signing marriage papers.
“I’ve been with the same person for a very long time, but I’m just unconventional in that way. I don’t think people need to be married,” she said. “I think a lot of people need that piece of paper but I don’t think everybody needs that to feel secure.”
Mendes’ co-star Pinkett Smith brought hubby Will Smith to the star-studded premiere, only he got scolded for not being on his best behavior.
“I’m in trouble and have been told to stay quiet,” Will told Tarts. “I’m in a hyperactive mood and am saying things I shouldn’t.”
There was certainly a lot of estrogen on the red carpet, as Mendes and Smith were joined by their A-list counterparts Annette Bening, Meg Ryan and Debra Messing.

Eva Mendes is to launch a range of bedsheets and pillowcases.
The sexy actress is the brains behind the new Vida linen line, which will hit MACy’s stores later this month (Sep08).
And, although the venture might be a surprise for many, she insists it’s something she has wanted to do for years.
She explains, “I’m a big interior design fan and architecture buff, that’s one of my passions. If I wasn’t an actress, I’d be an interior designer. I’m not smart enough to be an architect.
“We’re starting off with bedding and we’re seeing how the public responds to it… It’s very very affordable.”
And Mendes insists her friends and family are far from surprised with her latest project - because the actress loves to spend time in bed.
She adds, “I love sleeping… If there was an Olympics for it, I’d take the gold. I’m Cuban; we love to sleep.”

The campaign for new perfume Secret Obsession was deemed too racy for TV because it shows a brief glimpse of her nipple, according to source
The black and white advert shows Mendes, 34, rolling on a dishevelled bed before caressing herself and showing her chest for a split second.
“Between love and madness lies obsession,” she whispers seductively during the footage. “Love…madness. It’s my secret.”
Although network bosses have pulled the advert, Calvin Klein is running the clip on its website under the headline “Eva Mendes banned advert.”
“This development is not entirely a surprise for the US.market,” said Tom Murry, president and chief operating officer of Calvin Klein Inc.
“We believe the commercial is exceptional and hits the mark for Secret Obsession. We will reach our consumers in the U.S. primarily through the Web site, the print campaign and at point of sale.
“We are anticipating a very successful global launch.”
Eva first exposed her body in the 2007 film We Own The Night. Since then she has bared all for animal rights charity Peta, in the ‘I’d rather go naked than wear fur’ campaign.
