The ‘Harry Potter’ star, Emma Watson, continued to wow last night in a stunning Alexander McQueen dress at the National Movie Awards 2008 at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Monday .

The dress, a beautiful victoria-style white gown with jewel encrusted bust made Emma, 18, look wise beyond her fashion years.

And her dress clearly thrilled the fans, as she stopped to pose for photographs and chat on the red carpet, before heading inside at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

Emma Watson was in attendance at this afternoon’s Cartier International Polo 2008, an event overseen this year by Prince Charles. The Telegraph reports, a number of celebrities were in attendance along with Miss Watson, as was a crowd of over 35,000.

The 18-year-old British actress will next reprise her role as Hermione Granger in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The official teaser trailer is scheduled to debut on AOL @ 9PM EST on Tuesday, July 29. Hopefully this one will be better than the previously released one that showed before The Dark Knight IMAX!

Emma Watson is to be the new face of Chanel perfume. The ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’ star has won a two-year contract worth million to promote Coco Mademoiselle.

The 18-year-old actress will take over from fellow British star Keira Knightley, 23, when her contract ends this summer. A source said: “Emma has been excitedly telling friends that she is going to be replacing Keira.”

Emma Watson landed the deal with the French fashion house after signing up with top modelling agency Storm in an attempt to branch out from acting.

Chanel has been preparing Emma for her new role by dressing her for film premieres and parties. A source said: “She has been slowly integrated into the Chanel brand. Once it became clear she is growing into a beautiful young woman and wears the Chanel brand so elegantly, they had to sign her up. Chanel realises it is important to target a young audience.” Bosses at Warner Bros - who make the ‘Harry Potter’ films - have given the deal their blessing.

Emma Watson partied until the early hours of Sunday morning to celebrate her 18th birthday.

The ‘Harry Potter’ star was joined by friends and family at Mayfair’s Automat Club and Restaurant, in London, where she was showered with gifts.

Emma Watson looked stunning in a strapless black mini-dress.

Guests at the party included Tom Felton, who stars as the villainous Draco Malfoy in the ‘Harry Potter’ movies, Evanna Lynch, who plays Luna Lovegood, and Katie Leung, who portrays Harry’s love interest Cho Chang.

Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, who play Harry and his close friend Ron Weasley respectively, were not able to attend.
