David Beckham, who plays for LA Galaxy, saw him teach the character Elmo how to spell the word ‘persistent’.

The 33-year-old joined a string of stars, including actress Jessica Alba, model Heidi Klum, and actor Jack Black, to launch the popular show’s 39th season. He also swapped a few football tips with the red furry monster.

The episode will be screened in the US on 11 August.

A source close to the player David said: “David has always been a huge fan of the show. When he was a kid he watched it, like a lot of people, and knew all the characters. He was more than happy to go on.

“He loves dealing with kids and thought it would be a great way to get through to them. He had a great time filming it, a real laugh.”

David Beckham is gearing up to set hearts racing by posing in his underwear for another sexy Emporio Armani ad.

The latest Beckham campaign will feature on billboards and in press ads around the world promoting the latest range of Armani underwear. The new collection will hit stores in the U.S. in August and Europe in July.

Victoria Beckham swears to return to her land of birth. Posh Spice says she and footballer husband David will return to Britain in 2012 after his LA Galaxy contract expires.

A source reveals, “They are coming and London will be home for Victoria, Davod, and their sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.”

The couple had said they are building their future in the U.S. but apparently, the famous duo are now eager to return to their country. They are set to buy a home in Chelsea in London for their residence.

Victoria is reportedly excited to return to London so they can maximize their charity efforts. However, until David’s $250 million contract with the soccer team remains in effect, the Beckhams would still have to make do in Los Angeles, where they have made A-list friends of the likes of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise.

Victoria had said in July about their stay in the country, “We’ve loved every minute so far. I can’t see us going back.”

The Los Angeles Galaxy soccer star David Beckham has secretly splashed out on a limited edition tome, signed by one of Victoria’s favourite fashion designers Valentino.

A source said: “It will make for some good toilet reading for Victoria. Most people might get a gardening book in their stocking - but Posh gets this.”

Just 2,000 copies of the book, Valentino Garavani: First Name in Fashion, were published.

Each tome comes in a red silk Valentino clamshell box and features pictures from the legendary designer’s career, along with comments from some of the top fashion writers in the world.

The Beckhams regularly splash out on expensive gifts for each other.

Geri Halliwell has fuelled rumours that Posh Spice Victoria Beckham is pregnant — by pointing to her tummy on stage and stunning fans with the big news.

It comes after Mr Posh, David Beckham, said he’d like two more children, adding to their brood of three sons, Brooklyn, 8, Romeo, 5, and Cruz, 2.

In what may be one of showbiz’s oddest stork announcements, Halliwell was rumoured to have said “She’s pregnant” during their hit Wannabe at a Los Angeles concert on the weekend.
