After Kylie Minogue’s successful stint on hit US TV show ‘Dr Who,’ sister Dannii is in talks to star in the sci-fi spin-off series ‘Torchwood.’

According to sources, Dannii is keen to play a part in the show.

“I’d love it if Dannii appeared in Torchwood. She has an edge and I know she’s a fan of the show,” The Sun quoted show’s star John Barrowman, as saying.

Dannii – who mentored X Factor winner Leon Jackson, will return as a judge on the hit ITV talent next year.

“Dannii’s riding high after Leon won,” a show source said.

Dannii and Kylie are in Melbourne after they hired a private jet to fly home for Christmas.

Australian singer Dannii Minogue plans on becoming a songwriter for boy bands once her pop career is over. The 34-year-old sister of Kylie has been inspired by British boy band Take That’s current UK comeback tour and wants to pen hits for new groups. She says, “People are missing a fun boy band. You can see from Take That’s renaissance it would be great to have that back. “There’s a distinct lack of good pop out there. “I just emailed some songs to my publisher for a boy band, so we’ll see what happens. 

“But one day I’ll want to hang up my high heels and I love the writing process, so doing something for other artists is a definite possibility. “I got into writing my own songs and producing because I was bored. I wanted to take it a step further.” Source
