Courtney Love is being sued by credit card company American Express over alleged unpaid credit.

The company has filed court papers in Los Angeles, claiming that Love has “failed and refuse” to pay off the debt on her gold credit card. They are seeking damages and legal costs on top of the debt.

Love’s publicist said he had no immediate information on the suit, and had left a message with her attorney.

Courtney Love faces possible legal action after accusing socialite Kim Kardashian’s brother Rob of punching one of her gay employees.

In an angry rant on her MySpace page written on Wednesday (24Dec08), Love alleged that Kardashian’s brother Rob Jr. broke the nose of her employee while calling him a “faggot” in September (08).

Courtney Love writes: “Rob Jr. cold socked and punched my employee right in his face for no reason and broke his nose after my guy was hanging out with his pal Brody Jenner one night outside Hyde lounge.”

But Kim Kardashian hit back: “A lot of what she wrote doesn’t even make much sense and doesn’t follow a clear train of thought.

“At one point she says Brody was there too and that someone yelled discriminatory expletives against gay people, but I honestly can’t figure out who she is accusing because her writing is so bad.”

Kim Kardashian adds: “All I know is that both Brody and Rob didn’t do anything close to what Ms. Love has described… We will forward this terrible nonsense to our attorneys.”

Courtney Love has been given a lifetime ban from her favorite London haunt after taking her rock n’ roll behavior too far on a recent trip.

The singer/songwriter reportedly started a fire by accident in her $3,356 -per-night suite after leaving a cigarette burning, which resulted in the room having to be completely redecorated. Managers at the famed London landmark have reportedly tired of her antics, and blacklisted the former Hole singer from their establishment.

A source told the Daily Mirror: “Courtney is desperate to stay in Claridge’s again, but when her people tried to get her a suite it was a no go. Even the best known fixers in the business can’t get her in there.

“When Courtney’s name was mentioned they were told it was fully booked. But when her people rang up again requesting the same dates under a different name they were told there were a number of suites available.”

Love is also reportedly to have smashed up a room in July in a Covent Garden hotel while celebrating her birthday.

Following doctor’s orders, Courtney Love is trying to quit smoking, and like most smokers trying to kick the habit, she’s finding it difficult. She posted on moonwashedrose.com, “I’m going thru hell trying to cut back on smoking. I’m down to a pack a day from two, but it’s a pain and each fight of the urge is a little mini war.”

Courtney has been trying to quit smoking after being told by her doctor that she has pre-op nodules in her throat. She adds that her doctor “guessed exactly how much I smoke too and told me I’ll have to get surgery. [I'm] trying to get to half a pack a day and then quit when I get to 10. I think of all I’ve been through and I can do this.”

Drew threw the 80’s themed party at her home for a friends birthday and treated guests like Courtney, Jimmy Fallon, Ricki Lake, Kathy Griffin and Michael Vartan to prom photos, Sixteen Candles on loop and tons of hair band rock and ballads. “This is going to be the next controversy,” she told ABC’s Dave Alpert, confirming that she had posed for the picture several weeks ago and decided she didn’t like the outfits that had been picked out for her.

“Just give me some stockings and a pair of high heels and … that’s it,” she said she had told the photographer.

“This was taken about a month ago, and I’ve put on about 10 pounds since then,” she said, promising that she’ll be “naked as the day I was born.”

“Isn’t that crazy?” she said.

“I think this is going to be the little controversy for next month.”

The next issue of Pop will be out in three weeks.

Love’s new book, “Dirty Blonde: The Diaries of Courtney Love,” isn’t a straight narrative of her life. It’s a collection of photos, doodles, clippings, even a list of the foster homes where she once stayed.

The blonde 41-year-old rocker is said to have spent Tuesday night (08.29.06) in Claridges hotel with the 31-year-old presenter and then watched him film his TV show the next day.

According to Britain’s The Sun newspaper, Love – the widow of Nirvana’s KurtCobain – told a friend: “He was delicious. I gave him a cravat as a present. He certainly earned it with his performance.”

Love accompanied Brand to the studio for his MTV show and he then flew to Marrakesh, alone, on holiday.

Meanwhile, Love’s new music video is to be directed by ‘X-Men 3′ filmmakerBrett Ratner.
The former Hole singer contacted the director to ask him if he would mastermind the promo for upcoming single ‘Letter To God’.
