Cher is in secret talks to play a nightclub boss in Christina Aguilera’s new movie Burlerque, according to Contact Music.

The project will be directed by actor/filmmaker Steve Antin, brother of choreographer Robin Antin, who founded the burlesque troupe-turned-girl band The Pussycat Dolls.
Eonline.com reports Cher is actively seeking the role of the club boss in the film.

With the cover headline reading “Shock and Awe”, it’s easy to feel those emotions when looking at these hot pictures of Christina Aguilera as she covers the UK publication The Face.

Christina Aguilera will play an ambitious smalltown girl with a big voice who tries to escape a hollow past by performing in a neo-burlesque club in Los Angeles. The film hopes to be Moulin Rouge meets Cabaret, with established songs that will be updated and worked into dance numbers.

Christina Aguilera is reportedly set to swap the stage for the big screen by taking on her first lead movie role as a burlesque dancer.

The Dirrty hitmaker has garnered a string of small acting roles in recent years, with cameos in 2004 animated hit Shark Tale and an upcoming appearance as herself in Judd Apatow film, Get Him to the Greek.

But now the star is rumoured to be in negotiations to take on her first full length project – in new movie Burlesque, written by Steven Antin, the brother of Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin.

The Dirrty hitmaker, Christina Aguilera says by keeping her career goals she has stopped herself from going off the rails.

She explains, “I just try to stay focused on my goals.

“I think it is important to keep setting goals for yourself. For me I have so much more I want to do.”

Russell Brand has opened up about kissing Katy Perry and Pink for a forthcoming movie, but insists it was Christina Aguilera who he lusted after the most.

The British funnyman shot scenes with the trio of singers for the upcoming film “Get Him to the Greek,” which is a follow up to the 2008 hit “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”

The comedian confesses that he didn’t need to act out the kissing scenes with the singers, he just enjoyed the moment.

He tells Britain’s The Sun newspaper, “Christina was amazing. She is unbelievable — a perfect object. How could you ever talk to her about anything other than sex?

“Pink is a lovely woman — a forceful, sexy woman. With both of them I didn’t act, the acting stopped.”

Christina Aguilera made absolutely certain all eyes were on her at the launch of her new fragrance in New York yesterday.

The singer opted for a daring plunge-neck dress for the occasion, also showing rather a lot of leg thanks to her outfit’s thigh-skimming hemline.

She was in the Big Apple to unveil her new scent Inspire, the second fragrance to be released by the star.

She performed at the big Donald Trump party this past Saturday, to help celebrate the launch of the new Dubai project.

Many others were in attendance for the big party, including Diddy, Avril Lavigne, and others.

Christina Aguilera’s feet increased by two sizes when she was pregnant.

The 27-year-old singer – who gave birth to Max Liron, her first child with husband Jordan Bratman, in January – admits she was stunned by the amount her petite feet ballooned in size.

She said: “My stomach was really where I carried my weight. Toward the end of my pregnancy, I felt really big – I gained about 40lbs, which is a lot for my size. My hips also changed significantly. And my feet grew from a size five-and-a-half to a size seven in flats!”

Christina also revealed she was thrilled when she returned to her regular size, because she could start wearing her old clothes and shoes again.

She said: “Thank God my feet went back to normal. I would have been so depressed if I had to get rid of my shoe collection!”

Christina Aguilera has denied rumors she is set to bare all in a post-pregnancy spread for Playboy magazine.

The 27-year-old — who gave birth to her first child, son Max, in January – was reportedly approached by editor-in-chief Hugh Hefner for a saucy shoot in an upcoming issue of the men’s magazine.

But a representative for the singer has confirmed the report is “false,” although a close friend of the star admits Aguilera is “flattered” to be approached.

The pal tells OK! magazine, “That was old Christina; Christina circa four years ago. She’s looking to reinvent herself and grow.

“She wouldn’t consider it but she finds it flattering to be offered at all.”

This is her first big outing since giving birth to baby Max three weeks ago and motherhood seems to be treating Christina very well. She had a lot to share with Ryan Seacrest and here are a few highlights about life with Max and her new inspiration for an upcoming album.

She sad Max was “doing amazing”. “He’s so incredible, it’s an unbelievable thing,” she said.

“It’s still the first couple of weeks, every week something new happens.

“It’s constant changing and he’s constantly changing and doing these incredibly cute things – and stinky things.”

She says another new thing for her is living with Jewish traditions with husband Jordan Bratman – including Max getting circumcised at his bris. “He did have a bris,” Christina said on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show in L.A.”It was a very sweet experience. We had close friends over to experience the bris with us.

“We’re such a non-conventional couple we had penis balloons everywhere celebrating.”

She admits to being lucky compared to many other new parents. “I’ve a lot of great help around me. My mother-in-law gives a lot of great advice,” she said.
She also admitted Jordan is much more organized than her. “My husband is the person who has all the questions [for the doctors], I’ll forget half of them by the time we get in there. He’s really good at staying on top of all the doctors’ stuff.”

She said that even this soon after the birth, Max has inspired her upcoming album. “I’m so inspired,” she said.”This whole incredible thing that’s taken part in my life, between the pregnancy and the birth, I’ve got so much to be inspired about and so much in my life to write about.

“This next album will have a whole new me, so there’s a lot to look forward to.”

Christina also admitted that her friend Paris Hilton announced to the world that she was expecting before she ever wanted.

Paris announced it at a Hollywood club – with Christina and her friends left shocked because no one was supposed to confirm it.

Christina said: “People thought I was trying to keep it this big bad secret for so long. But really I just didn’t walk to address it at all. It really wasn’t this big sort of deal.

“It was actually cute, she did it in a very sweet way so it wasn’t in a kind of tattle-on-you kind of thing.”
Her first interview was to promote a new live DVD.

She says she finds it strange watching the shows as she was already three months pregnant. “It’s so weir to watch the DVD back and know that I was pregnant with this little guy,” she said.

“Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman are proud to announce the birth of their son Max Liron Bratman,” the brief message said. “He is a beautiful, healthy baby boy.”

The baby was born Saturday night and weighs 6 pounds, 2 ounces. Aguilera, 27, was “resting and doing well,” according to the message on her Web site, http://www.christinaaguilera.com/.

Aguilera said that Saturday was “a very joyful and special day for Jordan and I.”

There was no immediate response Sunday to several calls seeking additional comment from Aguilera’s representatives.
