Despite her public battle with Tom Cruise over the use of antidepressants, Brooke Shields has become close friends with his fiancée Katie Holmes.

The two new mothers both gave birth on April 18 at the same Los Angeles Hospital–Shields gave birth to second daughter Grier, while Holmes gave birth to daughter Suri.

Brooke Shields tells entertainment show Access Hollywood that they are “absolutely” friends.
