Britney Spears' Circus Gets Early Release

Britney Spears has confirmed her new album CIRCUS is finished and will be released in December.
The LP - a follow-up to 2007’s Blackout - was originally scheduled to hit shops later next year.
But rumours suggested that bosses at Spears’ music label, Jive Records, were keen to push the release date forward to take advantage of her current popularity.
The Toxic hitmaker has won favour with the public, as well as three coveted MTV Video Music Awards, after bouncing back from her public breakdown earlier this year.
And now label chiefs have confirmed that the record will be released on 1 December, to coincide with the star’s 27th birthday the next day.
The first single to be taken from the album is titled Womanizer.

Britney Spears is rumoured to be planning a massive comeback show in Las Vegas to launch her new album and kick off a possible world tour.
The Toxic hitmaker is currently working on her sixth studio LP and is reportedly set to perform a New Year’s Eve (31Dec08) concert at the Pearl Theatre in the city’s famous Palms Resort to cement her career revival.
A source tells British newspaper the Sunday Mirror, “Britney has been recording her album at Palms and she is good friends with George (Maloof, owner of the Palms Resort) from way back. They are cooking up the idea of making a big, bold statement by making her comeback on New Year’s Eve. It’s going to be the hottest ticket on the planet.”

The troubled pop star was awarded three gongs at the ceremony on Sunday - and it has landed her the top spot in an online survey.
British boy band Take That were awarded second place in the comeback poll, after they burst back onto the music scene in 2006 following a 10-year absence.
Australian singer Kylie Minogue was voted third, for returning to the limelight in 2006 after battling breast cancer.
Fourth and fifth places were handed to John Travolta and Robert Downey Jr. respectively, in the survey conducted by Onepoll.

Britney Spears is eying a career in comedy following her successful skit at the MTV Video Music Awards, according to reports.

The Toxic hitmaker has apparently been “bitten by the comedy bug” after her slot on How I met Your Mother and opening the VMAs with Jonah Hill proved so popular.

And TV bosses are fighting over booking the star.

A source says, “Britney had a great time filming the trailer for the VMAs with Russell Brand.

“She is getting phone calls non-stop so she is more than likely to get her wish. It would really put the icing on the cake for her as far as her comeback goes.”

Britney Spears opened the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles tonight, and showed off her acting skills in the process.

Walking on stage, Britney Spears received a standing ovation from the crowd, including the likes of Fall Out Boy, The Jonas Brothers and Kid Rock.

Britney also picked up the award for Best Female Video for her song ‘Piece Of Me’, and made a brief thank you speech in which she thanked God and her two sons whom she said inspire her every day. Spears was cheered on by her recently re-hired manager Larry Rudolph, the man responsible for her meteoric rise to fame as a teenager.
