Beyonce Knowles has blamed her hectic work schedule for her slip up at last week’s, ends 26 NOV 2006 BBC Chart Show Live event, when she mistakenly thought she was in the British capital instead of seaside resort Brighton.
Beyonce Knowles, upset local residents when she expressed her delight at being “back in London” – but quickly apologised when she was informed of her mistake.
Beyonce says,
“Before I was in England, I was home for maybe four days.
“Before that, I was in Australia; before that, I was in China; before that, I was in Africa… so my body was very confused.
“I don’t know where I am. I just lost track of where I was – it happens. The fact that it said BBC everywhere really confused me.
“Usually, when I’m in London, that’s where I do my thing, and I saw the letters and thought, ‘OK, I’m in London.’”
