Beyonce Knowles has spoken of her support for U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama – insisting she is proud to see a black nominee in the race for the White House.
Beyonce has previously shown her political allegiance to Obama by wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with a picture of the Democrat’s face.
She has now confirmed she is definitely backing the Illinois senator in the November elections – praising Obama for inspiring a whole generation of young voters.
She says, “I’m really proud. I think we’re making a lot of progress. It’s an exciting time for my generation, regardless of whether you’re African-American or not.
“The level of excitement, I’ve never seen anything like it. We all feel part of our country now.”
