Amy Winehouse
In a brief court appearance on Tuesday in London, Amy Winehouse reportedly pleaded not guilty to a charge that she assaulted a fan. Sherene Flash, a dancer, has said that Ms. Winehouse, the soul singer, hit her in the eye at a charity ball in Berkeley Square on Sept. 26 when Ms. Flash asked to take a picture of Ms. Winehouse. After her lawyer apologized for her late arrival, Ms. Winehouse appeared in the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court, where she confirmed her name and date of birth and entered her plea. A judge released her on bail and ordered her to return for a hearing on July 23.
Winehouse, 25, was dressed in a summery floral print, low-cut dress, which revealed her many tattoos and her bra strap, and four-inch pink stilettos. Asked at one point, as she fidgeted with her hair, if she was okay, she turned a security guard and said, “Me? I’m alright.”

I only hope that her trial is fair and they treat her like everyone else. I’m always a bit sceptic about such trials. On the one side you have the VIP, who might get a “bonus” and come out of the trial easy, on the other side you have the suitor, who might only went to the court, because they hope to get money.
